Gaudium mundi, nova stella caeli,
Procreans solem, pariens parentem,
Da manum lapsis, fer opem caducis,
Virgo Maria.
Joy of the world, new star of heaven,
Begetting the sun, giving birth to the parent,
Give a hand to the fallen, bring help to those destined to fall,
Virgin Mary.

Te Deo factam liquet esse scalam,
Qua tenens summa petit altus ima.
Nos ad excelsi remeare caeli
Culmina dona.
It is clear that you have become a ladder for God,
While holding on to its top the highest seeks the least.
Allow us to return to the heights of the
Highest heaven.

Te beatorum chorus angelorum,
Te prophetarum et apostolorum
Ordo praelatam sibi cernit unam
Post deitatem.
You, the chorus of blessed angels,
You, the rank of prophets and apostles,

Before the bedchamber of the virigin
May the praises of the choirs take turns.

Haec virgo verbo gravida
Fit paradisi ianua:
Quae Deum mundo reddidit,
Caelum nobis aperuit.
This virgin, pregnant with the word,
Becomes the door of paradise:
She who delivered God to the world,
Opened heaven to us.

Concepit sine coitu,
Emisit absque gemitu.
That blessed woman delivering a child,
Completely free from the law of Eve,
She conceived without intercourse,
